If you use the
Full Package, just proceed as usual: Extract the archive
into the document root of your web server, load the correspondig URL into your
browser and enter the installation information. If you should have any problems
here, take a look at the installation documentation at the
phpBB site!
If you do not want to install phpBB from scratch, but rather want to update
your existing phpBB forum, you might want to use the Changed Files Only
archive. This archive contains all files that are new or that have changed.
Simply add/replace these files and you're done!
If you already have a heavily modded phpBB, you can still switch over to
phpBB with KittenAuth visual confirmation! phpBB KittenAuth has taken care
to make it as easy as possible to patch an already existing, non-standard or
modified phpBB installation by making as few changes as possible to already
existing source files and by trying to put nearly everything into source files
which you can just add to your installation. The few changes to the existing
files are provided as a small patch file which can be applied to the files
of your phpBB installations. If this is the best solution for you, use the
Patch File Only archive!
